Holy Moly

I just registered for a 5k race! Very excited! Omg...I can't even believe I just did that! I'm excited. Can you tell?
I know I can do it, because I run that distance every day now. I just can't believe how far I have come. I started running again in September. I could barely walk that far, let alone run a freaking mile! Now I run a minimum of 3 miles a day, and after this 5k will have my eye on the half marathon in February. And then, who knows? Bandit at the Boston Marathon in April?

I know those are pretty big goals, but I have come so far in just a couple months. I finally got the courage to leave and end an abusive relationship 3 months ago. I am finally realizing that I capable of doing ANYTHING I set my mind to. My happiness is important not only for me but for my kids.
I can achieve anything I want to and by golly jolly, I will!

I will leave you with this quote by the lovely Audrey Hepburn

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

Great job! You'll do great in that 5K. Very ambitious to shoot for a half in the spring! I just did my first half last weekend, it was the best! Good luck in your race!

Good for you! You can definitely do it - I just started running 9 months ago and will be running my third 5K in a couple weeks. :)

It's hard leaving a relationship when you care for someone. Hopefully by talking openly about this other women won't stay in a similar situation. And hopefully this man got some kind of punishment for his actions. I commend your strength and positive attitude.
